Making a Custom Macaron Necklace

A couple of weeks ago I received a custom order for a pink macaron necklace with a name on it I hadn't been making macaron necklaces for very long, so I didn't know if I could figure out how to add a name to it, but I really didn't want to disappoint this customer since it was my first custom order!

After molding the polymer clay and using a craft superglue to hold it together, I added a pink rhinestone to the cream filling and began painting it with by hand with a 2/0 nylon paintbrush.

Hand painting the Macaron with limited edition Coach-brand pink lacquer
In a make-it-or-break-it trial-and-error test, I used a clear sticker sheet to apply the name. It was a little tedious cutting out the fancy script exactly so that it wouldn't look haphazard. I did two types of clear coats (decoupage and acrylic sealer) on it (one with glitter for a little shimmer.) Then I let it air dry for 24-hours.

Customer requested I put a name on the macaron
After the macaron was dry, I packaged it so that it would look like a little treat and included an origami star, because I want everyone's dreams to come true. (●⌒∇⌒●)
Finished, packaged product

I can make macarons in just about any color, with or without rhinestones, with or without shimmer... don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in getting a macaron! (I usually make necklaces, but I could make keychains or cell/bag charms!) Send me an e-mail at heart.beth@gmail.com if you want to talk about placing an order.
